Old Rugged Cross/Di Bukit Golgota
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suff'ring and shame;
And I love that old cross,
where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down,
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it someday for a crown
To the old rugged cross I will ever be true
It's shame and reproach gladly bear
Then he'll call me some day to my home far away
Where his glory forever I'll share
In the old rugged cross,
stained with blood so divine.
A wondrous beauty I see;
For 'twas on that old cross
Jesus suffered and died
To pardon and sanctify me.
And I'll cherish the old rugged cross (rugged cross)
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
I will cling to the old rugged cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
Di bukit Golgota nampaklah salibHu
matahari bersuramlah.
Yesus Anak Allah meninggalkan surga,
mati bagiku yang berdosa.
Maka kutinggikan salibNya,
sampai bertemu dengan Bapa,
dengar kataNya:"Hamba setia,
Salib 'Ku ganti d'ngan mahkota"
Meski manusia menghina salib-Nya,
namun bagiku lambang mulia.
Hatiku sungguh k'ras makin tak tergerak,
hanya kasih-Nya menghancurkan
